Here's the dried fish that my mom recently brought over. It's coated in honey and sesame seeds. If you look carefully, you can see the bones of the fish.

Dried fish is crunchy from head to tail when fried in cooking oil, its delicious in taste and good for "pasalubong".

Mostly siargao likes to eat dried fish,I do eat too because it is tasty,I knew that mostly people from the west doesn't like to eat or smell this either.

I bought dried fish from the Filipino Sari-Sari Store the other day…my craving for a Filipino breakfast overcame my apprehensions about getting one.

If  i am excited to share this sweet, sour and salty taste, a good match with your potato or plain rice.
The pungent smell of this food while cooking could disturb neighbors so see to it that you are not violating any rules within your area. (Some may like the smell but some may not.) If I am with difficult neighbors, I try to cook at night where everyone is asleep.

Therefore, the sun-drying of fish which are in excess to sold fresh fish is considered a practical method for fish preservation. Sun-drying is carried out by women.
